So, this was our first Halloween with Momma bear working full-time....
and to say the least we were not prepared. Can you say "too many Halloween traditions to uphold"?! I thought we'd be able to breeze through the holiday in a simple fashion, while still having loads of fun. Wrong! Several days before the big day, the kids were busy listing all the traditions we still had yet to do....pumpkin patch, buy pumpkins, carve pumpkins, corn maze, buy candy, Trick-or-Treating at Gee-Gee's work, Jack-o-Latern Pizzas, costumes for all 7 of us (mom, dad, dog included), Trick-or-Treating the neighborhood (including driving around once kids/parents were too tired to walk), gorging on candy until we were all sick, and so on and so forth!
Thankfully, my cape was clean (and not piled up in the loads of laundry that we accumulate in one day's time) and I was able to pull off most of the beloved Halloween traditions! Whew!
And the best part, we started a new tradition. While Trick-or-Treating, every time kids get a Reese Cup they give it to ME! Score!
